Frequently asked questions
What size of gowns do you carry? — Our sample gowns range from a size 6 to 30 but we have the ability to order the gowns in size 0-44.
Are appointments required? — No. Appointments are appreciated, but not required. We want to give you the best possible experience and making an appointment ensures we have a consultant staffed to specifically help you. However, if we have time and an available consultant, we are happy to help you if you decide to walk-in as well!
Are there other appointments happening at the same time as mine? — We have space for 2 appointments to be happening at once, however we have intimate/separate viewing areas for the brides and their families.
What is the price range of your gowns? — Our current gowns range from $1,000-$2,900 with the average being $1,300-$2,000. We do have a selection of Off-The-Rack gowns for less.
How long does it take to get a wedding dress in? — The average time for the dress to arrive is 16-24 weeks. An 8-12 week rush is available for certain gowns for a small fee determined by the vendor.
Do you sell off-the-rack? — We do have a small selection, and this will continue to grow. These can range from $600-1,000.
What gown companies do you carry? — We have many gowns from many collections. Currently we carry collections from Allure Bridal, Dutch designed gowns by Modeca, and La Papillon. As well as a couple Private Label designers.
How many people can I bring with me? — We recommend bringing 3-4 guests. However, we can accommodate larger groups than this. Please let us know how many people you are bringing so we have additional seating.
How long is the bridal appointment? — Our time slots are allotted for 90 minutes start-to-finish. If there is not an appointment scheduled after you, it is allowed to roll-over 90 minutes if needed.
Where are you located? — 315 A. Ave. Vinton, IA 52349. We are located right off of 4th street downtown. Nature’s Corner sits on the corner of 4th St. and A Ave., and we are directly behind it.
Do you do alterations? —We do not have an in-house seamstress. However we have contacts for several experienced seamstresses in the area.
Can I discuss wedding flowers while I am there? — If you would like to talk about wedding flowers, you will need to contact Nature’s Corner beforehand to make sure they are available to sit down with you before or after your dress appointment! Flowers by Nature's Corner (naturescorner.net) You can request a consultation from their website, or call them to discuss!
Do I need to bring anything with me? — If you have any photos or ideas of gowns that you like bring them with you or send them to us ahead of time. Bring a strapless bra or undergarment you are comfortable in. (you can go without a bra as well). Bring your wedding shoes if you have them, and any accessories you know you will be wearing for your wedding.
Do you sell more than just wedding gowns? — Yes! We have veils, belts, detachable sleeves and skirts, jewelry, hair pieces, bridal gifts, BOOMBA, Wedding Preservation, shapewear, bridesmaid gifts, wedding gifts, rehearsal/shower dresses etc.
Do you do prom/homecoming/mother/flower girl dresses or tuxes? — Currently, no. We plan to focus on wedding gowns now and potentially expand into those other areas as we grow. Tuxes can be rented at Camerons Clothing here in Vinton.
Are you handicap accessible? — Yes! We are on one level and have no steps in out building. We have a handicap accessible bathroom as well.
What else do I need to know? — No food or beverages are allowed to be brought into the store. We have water available for guests. You will be asked to remove your shoes upon entering (we have socks or shoe covers if needed).
